The Client

Some projects come full circle in the most satisfying way — and this is one of them.

I first met Jess Brown years ago when I designed the website for Brows & Co, showcasing her incredible cosmetic tattoo work. We stayed in touch as her business quietly grew and evolved. Then, early last year, Jess got in touch with exciting news: she was ready for something new. A rebrand to match a new direction, an expanded set of services, and the full scope of her artistic talent.

Cue: one very exciting rebranding project.

The Challenge

Jess wasn't just refreshing a logo — she was stepping into a whole new identity. Brows & Co had served her well, but it no longer reflected the breadth of what she was offering or the level she was working at.

She needed a brand that:

  • Reflected her evolution as an artist, not just a service provider

  • Captured the sophisticated, moody aesthetic that felt true to her vision

  • Worked beautifully across every touchpoint — signage, stationery, website, and beyond

  • Felt timeless enough to grow with her, but distinctive enough to stop the scroll

We started with where Jess was heading — and worked backwards from there.

  • A logo and visual identity drawing from moody 90s aesthetics — rich greens, clay browns, and inky splashes that feel both deeply current and completely timeless

  • Typography and design elements that balance artistic edge with refined elegance

  • A cohesive brand system built to carry seamlessly across signage, stationery, her website, and every client-facing touchpoint

  • A new brand name — Jess Brown Artistry — that positions her exactly where she belongs: as an artist, not just a technician
